Patient Pathway

The MSC Eurocare Patient Pathway

Getting the treatment you need in 12 steps
Step 1
Your GP will identify that there is a treatment needed.
Step 2
Either you or your GP will get in touch with MSC Eurocare for support with the process of getting your treatment abroad.
Step 3
Once you are happy to work with us, you will sign an agreement and pay a small refundable deposit.
Step 4
We will send you your information pack to get things started and if you need financing we will help you make your application to the Credit Union or Bank of Ireland.
Step 5
We will match your treatment to the appropriate Surgeon in one of our partner hospitals.
Step 6
We will organise for you to have your pre-op tests, e.g. Swabs, ECG, Blood Tests, X-Ray etc..
Step 7
We will liaise with the chosen hospital to get the dates arranged and send your files to them for review.
Step 8
Once the date is confirmed we can arrange your travel and accommodation and transfers to and from the airport.
Step 9
You are now ready to travel. Once you arrive at the hospital you will meet your Consultant, have further pre-op tests and receive your treatment.
Step 10
On discharge, you will receive your paperwork and aftercare plan. The paperwork is important for your refund application from the HSE. We will help you fill in the paper work correctly in order for you to receive your refund in a timely manner.
Step 11
Once you have returned home we will help you complete your application and you should have your refund within 28 days of applying.
Step 12
MSC Eurocare will help you with the management of your aftercare plan and we will liaise with your Consultant abroad and local GP as required. Your GP will receive a full report from the hospital re the treatment you received so he/she can update your local medical records.
